The Equality Network is a leading Scottish national charity working for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex (LGBTI) equality and human rights. It was formed in 1997 by LGBT activists.
Feedback from staff and stakeholders revealed that their existing branding was seen as dated and confusing. They were concerned it was holding them back from improving services, growth and staying ahead of competitors.
Haiwyre won a 5-way tender in late 2016 to redesign their brand logo and identity. We worked closely with their communications officer and management team. Through a series of workshop activities we received input and feedback from all staff members as well as their governing board.
Our presented design concept was universally well received and agreed by all as the correct route to develop. On completion of the logo we worked with the EN team to produce a family of promotional and campaign materials. A PDF Brand Guide covering print and online implementations was produced for any other agencies using the new identity.
The new logo was officially launched at their 2017 AGM to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Equality Network.
The session went brilliantly! It gave a real buzz to people – our staff and board members seemed to respond to you and the exercises positively.
A couple of people specifically mentioned that you had really understood us as an organisation and have no doubt that Haiwyre is the right agency to deliver the brand identity project for us.
We loved working with Haiwyre on our new branding – at all times they were professional, easy-going and quick.
The quality produced has been first-class throughout, we have been really pleased with how it has all come together.
